  6. Monday, January 20, 2014 - 10:00 am
    MLK Memorial March and Rally
    Route: The March will START at the Charles R. Drew Health Center on West Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Way. Continue out Third with others joining the March at the Cultural Center (Peace Bridge) and again at Sinclair and Third and Main. The March will then turn Right on N. Main Street to Fifth at the Dayton Convention Center where it will end.
     

  7. Monday, January 20, 2014, 11:30 am - 3:00 pm
    Violence Prevention MLK Teen Celebration - Neon Movie
    Admission: Free
    Description: The
    Violence Prevention Program will present “A Violence Prevention Teen Day Celebration” in observance of non-violence on the National Dr. Martin Luther King Holiday. The program will feature the movie “42” or “The Butler” based on movie availability to bring awareness of methods to diffuse and manage violent behaviors, building upon the beliefs of Dr. King and his use of non-violence.
    Target Audience: Teens and their families

    MLK Celebration Banquet

    Donation: $60
    Location: The Dayton Convention Center, 22 East Fifth Street, Dayton, Ohio 45402
    Theme: “Is America Humanly and Civilly Bankrupt?”
    The Dayton Contemporary Dance Company will be performing
    Speaker: Rev. Dr. Rodney Wallace Kennedy, Lead Pastor, First Baptist Church, Dayton, Ohio

  • Monday - January 20, 2014 - MLK Celebration Banquet at 6:00 p.m. Dayton Convention Center

  • Tuesday - 1/7/2014 - St. Margaret's Episcopal Church - 5:30 - 7:30pm

  • Thursday - 1/9/2014 - St. Margaret's Episcopal Church - 5:30 - 7:30pm
